Center oppose gun safety education

the NRA's Eddie the Eagle (who they

"Joe Camel with feathers")?

are good for their anti-gun agenda.

AND
HCI and its allies continue to press for
the proliferation of gun locks even after
HCI's own lawyer, Dennis Henigan, proved
publicly that these locks are unreliable
and likely to get their users killed.

THE ANTI-GUN PROPOGANDA MACHINE..

It is (not) funny how anti-gun activists
can twist statistics to bear out whatever
lies they are trying to put forth as being
the truth.. one of their favorite tactics
is to include justified police shootings,
justifiable homicides (legitimate self-defense
use) and even suicides, in their handgun
death statistics when they are trying to
show law abiding citizens the "true"
dangers of handguns or firearms.
Anti-gunners will often term rival gang members
as "aquaintances" or
"friends"
when tabulating handgun deaths
at the hands
of friends and family members,
skewing the
numbers to make you feel you
are at risk
from your friends and family.
Another tactic
is to use the term, "Children
and Adolescents"
when including "kids"
ages 1 to
25.. Yes! 25 year old children!
Be aware
that anti-gunners will use the
term "children"
very loosely when trying to make
their point
by skewing the numbers.
Here are some more real statistics (involving real children) to
chew on..
On average, 58 children, ages 18 months and
under, are accidentally killed each year
by drowning in 5 gallon buckets *1.
On average, 462 children, ages 18 months
and under, are accidentally or negligently
killed each year by incorrect prescriptions
or inproper dosing of prescription medication
*2.
On average, 260 children, ages 18 months
and under, are intentionally killed (murdered)
each year (this does not include late term
abortions). Of those, 31% were killed by
their fathers, 30% were killed by their mothers,
23% were killed by male acquaintances, 7%
were killed by other relatives and 3% were
killed by strangers *3.
Of those, 46% were shaken to death and/or
proven to have been intentionally thrown
to the ground, 37% killed by strangulation
or blows by hands or feet, 17% were killed
with a deadly weapon (includes knives, garden
tools, hammers, baseball bats, firearms,
rocks, boards, and other blunt instruments
such as a TV remote.) *3.
In other words, more infants are killed by
5 gallon buckets than all the intentional
murders by all types of weapons each year
and more than ten times as many babies are
killed by incorrect prescription or improper
dosing than are intentionally killed with
any deadly weapon.
Based upon these real life statistics.. we
need to immediately register and restrict
distribution of all 5 gallon buckets, require
a 10 day waiting period for prescriptions,
demand parents and caregivers be properly
licensed to adminsiter medications to their
kids and pretty much restrict all unsupervised
parental access to babies!
OH.. AND LOCK UP THE DAMNED DOCTORS.. FOR
THE CHILDREN!
