| PRELUDE TO A RANGE WAR (AKA: THE JOSEY WALES STAGE) ![]() BG - PISTOL -PISTOL - PISTOL - PISTOL - PISTOL - RIFLE - SG |
Start sitting at table (POSITION A) with 5 loaded pistols and loaded Belly Gun on table. Loaded rifle and Shotgun in rack at POSITION B. To signal start, shooter places both HANDS ON TABLE (not touching guns) and says, "You best get your mind right about what's got to get done" (Printed on table). On beep, shooter picks up BG and shoots 2 into BG plate. Put down BG safely, pick up pistols 1-5 individually and engage the "RANGE WAR" plates, triple tapping each letter, in order, left to right for 24 shots. Last shot in the last gun (#25) may be dumped into the close BG target or shooter may opt to engage P25 BONUS target for a 10 second bonus. A miss is scored as a standard 10 second miss. After shooting last pistol, put it down on the table safely before standing up. Move to POSITION B (at rack). Pick up rifle and "triple tap" each rifle target for 9 shots, sweeping either direction. Put down open and empty rifle and pick up shotgun. Engage the 3 SG targets in a standard or reverse NEVADA SWEEP (starting on either end) for 5 shots. |

HOSTAGE & SNIPER
Start sitting in coach, shotgun at port-arms, 2 loaded pistols in holsters, loaded rifle inside coach, on left or right side of the shooter, with barrrel pointing down range. Shooter should ensure the hostage is pre-set before beginning, or they will have to set her on the clock before pulling rope. Shooter must remain seated for shotgun, but may stand in coach after pulling rope and activating the swinging hostage. When ready, shooter places shotgun in good port-arms position and says, "Let 'er go you coward!" On beep, seated shooter engages each SG target two times each (may double tap), any order. Put down open and empty shotgun in coach safely, then pull rope to release the swinging hostage. Draw first pistol and engage pistol targets NEAR TO FAR. Holster first pistol, draw second pistol and engage pistol targets FAR TO NEAR. Holster second pistol and pick up rifle. Shoot 8 shots at FAR pistol target. The last shot (R9) may be shot at far pistol target for standard score or at the far sniper target for a 10 second bonus. Hitting the wood sniper cut-out is a miss. Sniper hits must go through the cut-out hole and cleanly strike the metal plate. |

MISSION IMPOSSIBLE (AKA: THE RIFLEMAN STAGE)

Start standing, kneeling* or sitting behind water trough with shotgun on trough, 2 loaded pistols in holsters or laid on carpet, loaded rifle at point-of-aim. Shooter may load rifle rounds from body (pockets, loops, pouch, etc.. ) or use the small bucket provided for extra rifle rounds. When ready, shooter places rifle at point of aim and may chamber first round (optional). To signal timer, shooter yells, "Come out and bring your hired guns!" This line must be YELLED. RO will not start timer unless line is yelled, so give it some gusto! On beep, shooter engages the mission bell (B) target 5 times, then the "Bandito" targets in the mission windows, sweeping left to right (1-5), being careful not to shoot the "no shoot" target in the 3rd window). Put down open and empty rifle on top of or leaning against the trough, carefully. Draw or pick up first pistol and engage the 5 pistol knock-down (KD) targets (K1 - K5) in any order. Holster or put down empty pistol safely. Pick up rifle, load 5 and shoot the 5 "Bandito" targets, sweeping right to left (5-1). Put down open and empty rifle on top of or against the trough, carefully. Draw or pick up second pistol and engage P1 & P2 in any order. If any KD targets are left up, after shooting at P1 & P2 at least one time each, shooter may engage any remaining pistol knock-down (KD) targets that have not fallen. Once all KD targets are down, any remaining pistol shots may all go into either the P1 or P2 plate. Holster or put down empty pistol safely. Pick up rifle and load 10. Shoot the mission bell (B) 5 times and "Banditos" (1-5), left to right, as before. Put down open and empty rifle on top of or against the trough, carefully. Pick up shotgun and sweep all three shotgun targets twice (going either direction) for 6 shots (no double taps). Note: Standard Knock-Down (KD) target rules apply. Any Knock-Down (KD) targets left up are a penalty of 20 seconds each. *Shooter gets "one free miss" on this stage if it is completed kneeling (one knee or two). |

Start standing at POSITION A, with both arms through bars and SHACKLES ON WRISTS (outside the bars), 2 loaded pistols on table outside bars. Shotgun on table, through bars. Loaded rifle in rack at POSITION B. Note: While shooting pistols, shackles must remain on shooter and muzzles of pistols must remain outside the bars. Shooter grasps both bars at eye level. When ready and in position, shooter says or yells, "I'm gonna kill you and every man that comes to get me!" (Printed on table) On beep, shooter picks up first pistol with shackles on and engages the "cowboy" target in a clockwise fashion starting and ending with the chest (chest-hand-hat-hand-chest) as indicated in diagram. Put down empty pistol and pick up second pistol and repeat. Put down second pistol safely and remove shackles. Pick up shotgun and engage the 5 Must-Go-Down (MGD) pipes in any order, until down, shooting with barrel through the bars. After all 5 pipes are down, shooter pulls back open/empty shotgun from bars and safely moves to POSITION B, keeping shotgun pointed in a safe direction. Shotgun may be loaded (with the action open on doubles and action closed and empty on 97's) while moving. Once at POSITION B, or while stopped enroute to POSITION B, shooter engages the 5 remaining MGD pipes in any order. Once pipes are down, put empty and open shotgun in rack safely and pick up loaded rifle, Shoot the 3 rifle targets (bells) in a NEVADA SWEEP for 9 shots, starting and ending on R1. Note: Standard MGD target rules apply. Any MGD pipes left up are a penalty of 20 seconds each. |

Start standing behind bar, across from BG target. Loaded Belly Gun (BG) on bar in front of shooter (marked "x" on diagram), pointing down range and completely covered by the bar towel, loaded pistols in holsters, loaded rifle and shotgun on bar at shooter's left. Shooter's non-gun hand pointing finger at target, gun hand on top of the bar towel, over the BG. Extra SG ammo may be placed in box at left end of bar, or loaded from body. To signal ready to start, with hands as described above, shooter says, "Are you the one that killed our friend?" On beep, shooter carefully removes bar towel, picks up belly gun and engages cut-out on BG target with 2 shots. Put down empty BG on bar safely and pick up shotgun from bar. Engage the 5 SG targets in 2 full sweeps, starting at either end. Put down open and empty shotgun and draw first pistol.Nevada Sweep (or reverse Nevada Sweep) P1 through P3. Holster pistol and pick up empty shotgun. Engage each of the 5 SG targets, once each, in any order. Put down open and empty shotgun and draw second pistol and repeat earlier Nevada (or reverse Nevada) sweep. Holster empty pistol and pick up empty shotgun. Engage each of the 5 SG targets, once each, in any order. Put down open and empty shotgun and pick up loaded rifle, engaging R1 & R2, alternating for 9 shots (no double taps, start on either side). Put down open and empty rifle and pick up empty shotgun. Engage each of the 5 SG targets, once each, in any order. Note: BG and P3 targets are a wood man cut-out prop with a hole in the chest. Penalty for shooting the wood/prop is 30 seconds. |

SHOWDOWN ON THE STREETS OF CHABOT
Start standing at window A with both hands on wall on each side of window (at or above shoulder level). Loaded BG on sill of window A. Loaded pistols in holsters. Loaded rifle and SG in rack at Window C. Extra pistol ammo may be placed on table in doorway B or may be loaded from body. To signal start, with hands on wall at window A, shooter quietly says, "Men are gonna get killed here today and I'm gonna kill 'em" (Printed on table) On beep, shooter picks up belly gun (BG) and shoots 2 at BG target. Put down empty BG safely and move to doorway B. At doorway B, shooter draws first pistol and engages the 3 lollipop targets in a NEVADA SWEEP (starting and ending on the shooter's left. with #1). Holster first pistol and draw second pistol. Engage pistol knock-down (KD) targets P1-P5 in any order. Targets must go down. Reload (up to 5 shots in) pistol on-the-clock and re-engage the pistol KD targets, as needed. Holster empty pistol and move to window C. Pick up loaded rifle and shoot R1 & R2 alternating for 9 shots, no double taps, start either side. Put down open and empty rifle and pick up shotgun. Engage the 2 hanging SG targets, alternating, for 6 shots, start either side. Note: Standard KD rules apply. Any KD targets left up are a penalty of 20 seconds each. Any "Extra" reload shots in pistol must be discharged down range safely or manually unloaded before holstering. |
